spring

Spring is already here with us. And as always, it brings an air of magic, camaraderie and vibrancy.  Of course the days are longer but that provides the perfect excuse for outdoor adventures and the opportunity to unwind.

And if you’re like the rest of us humans, then you definitely have a spring bucket list or not. But if you don’t, we created the perfect spring bucket list just for you!!

Whether you’re just wanting to explore, or spend time with loved ones, here are four must-do activities to make the most of spring:

Explore the Wildflower Trail

If you’re a nature lover, the wildflower trails, particularly in Western Australia, in spring will do you some good. Spring provides the perfect opportunity to see how the landscape has transformed into a beautiful mix of colours so different from the winter chill. We would recommend visiting the Kings Park which is home to 3000+ plant species, and the Fitzgerald River National Park with 1800+plant species. These two places are guaranteed to give you the ultimate floral experience.

Go Whale Watching

Guess where some of the best whale watching spots are located? Yes, Australia!! Spring provides the opportunity for marine enthusiasts, or anybody really, to watch as Southern right and humpback whales migrate South. You might even see an orca whilst at it:)

The best spots for whale watching in spring include:

  • Hervey Bay, Queensland:  Known as the “whale watching capital,” Hervey Bay’s calm waters make it ideal for spotting whale mothers and their calves.

Fun Tip: Going for the guided tour will have you being a whatever expert in no time at all. This is because the guides share some fascinating whale facts while on the tour. So grab your binoculars and get this off your spring bucket list.

Take a Hike Through the Blue Mountains

If you love a good hike, then you simply have to visit the Blue Mountains in NSW. Now that it’s spring, the weather is perfect for a hike to see the eucalyptus forests, waterfalls and dramatic cliffs ( just be sure not to fall off)

Best Hiking Trails:

  • The Three Sisters Walk: This easy trail delivers breathtaking views of the iconic Three Sisters rock formation and the sprawling Jamison Valley.
